Axiom Magazine interview

I’ve interviewed all kinds of people in my time - rock stars, fashion designers, chefs and distillers - and I always thought it would be fun to be on the other side of the questions. Nagoya’s Axiom Magazine gave me the chance, and it turns out I’m not nearly as fascinating as I thought I was.

Ever since Anthony Bourdain visited Shibuya’s bar Ishinohana in ‘No Reservations’, the bar that rarely saw a foreign face has been getting a stream of foreign guests, all ordering the drink that Bourdain drank - the Claudia. It comes with the most extreme decoration this side of TGI Fridays. But the bar’s other house original, the Polar Star pictured here is not only far better (and more manly), it’s a drink that deserves to become a classic.  Think Sidecar with aquavit instead of brandy and apple syrup instead of triple sec.
